Hi,

This weekend has been a boring one...nothing much happened. But Mum is going on her holiday soon...and I'll be spending some time with my other family for a little while
I was browsing the net last night and I looked up recipes and I decided to make chicken for dinner. I love chicken, not because it's nice but because chicken is good for you. Although it is expensive, chicken is vital to your health and if filled with good ingredients.

The recipe is Barbie Chicken Wings (Barbie means barbeque) and they are fairly easy to make for a party or you have a bunch of mates over or just for the comfort of your own home, like me. The ingredients that you will need are as follow:

16 (about 600g) chicken drumettes
60ml (1/4 cup) bourbon whiskey
60ml (1/4 cup) honey
2 tsp sweet paprika
2 garlic cloves, crushed

Plus, before or while you're cooking the chicken, start cooking some steamed Jasmine Rice, just enough for you or your guests etc... That way you'll have a side dish with the chicken! You can also prepare the chicken during the day and when you start to cook the dinner, just pop it into the oven!

Anyway, to make the chicken, instructions are as follow:

1. Place the chicken in an ovenproof baking dish. Combine bourbon, honey, paprika and garlic in a jug. Pour bourbon mixture over chicken and toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 3 hours to develop the flavours.

2. Preheat oven to 200°C. Bake chicken in preheated oven, turning occasionally, for 30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oven.

3.Spoon rice among serving bowls. Top with chicken and serve immediately

Other notes to remember: If you don't want the alcohol, change it to soy sauce or terriaki, if you like...somtimes the mixture doesn't work if it has alcohol in, depending on how much you put it. You may choose to use a little....A lot of the bouborn will make the mixture a bit sour...

That's dinner, now dessert!! I love chocolate and I also love cupcakes...But I am a master at making desserts...I also love experimenting and making different kinds of desserts...

This dessert is called Tolberone Sponge Cake

You will Need:

1 1/2 cup of cream
2x250g packet of Sponge Biscuits
1x100g chocolate bar of Tolberone
1 cup of chocolate milk-Breaka's or any other kind

Instuctions:

1. Whisk the cream with a handbeater or by hand to make it into whipped/dolloped kind of cream.

2. Dip half the sponge biscuits in to the chocolate milk, allowing them to soak and absorb the chocolate milk. Then lay them on a large plate.

3. Spread cream on top of the biscuits, then dip more biscuits into the milk and add them on top of the cream.

4. Add more cream on top, making into a layer cake (see picture for reference)

5. Place into fridge for about half an hour, letting the cake to set and become firm.

6. Before serving, grate the tolberone chocolate and sprinkle on top or if you don't want that, cinnamon sugar or flavroured Cadbury chocolate can be great alternatives.

That is all for now...tommorrow I post thoughts and such..now it is time to watch MasterChef and Bones!

Love the Black Drama Queen...
